I got this for my dogs water bowl and I got a second one to feed her off. She refuses to feed from any sort of container, and will only feed off the floor. Which is then messy to clean up. This mat is perfect. I put her food directly on it and she was happy eating it. Just a quick rinse and wipe under the tap and all ready for next day. However …. the mat does smell of chemicals. So I gave it a good soapy wash first and left it out in the sun to dry. When I brought it back in, could not smell the chemicals. I got the small mat as she is only a small dog. Picture of it with her water bowl. Has a non slip backing which is better than a lot of other mats. It comes rolled up so the edges did stick up a bit. I just rolled it the other way, left half an hour and it lay perfectly flat on the floor – again unlike some other mats.
